The establishment of the Corendon Foundation is since May 9, 2011 a reality. We have celebrated this at a nice dinner at the Kurhaus in Scheveningen, where around 300 Turkish-Dutch entrepreneurs, administrators, politicians and representatives from the educational system, and the social sector were present. They were among others addressed by the Secretary of State of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Henk Bleker, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ugur Dogan, director of the General Dutch Association of Travel Companies (ANVR), Frank Oostdam, and the granddaughter of Charles Darwin, Sarah Darwin. The meeting was chaired by Mr. William Lageweg, director of CSR Netherlands.

Op 8 april 2011 ondertekenden Atilay Uslu, CEO Corendon, en A. Doğan Arıkan, voorzitter van het bestuur van TEMA, in Istanbul een contract voor het planten van 100.000 bomen in Turkije. Het streven is om samen met de klanten en leveranciers van Corendon in totaal in Turkije 1 miljoen bomen te planten.
